everything on the internet is a service the internet is laced with expectation. websites and products are expected to last ==need to elaborate on what this means==

users are expected to use the product

a gift can only be one if there is no expectation of the other. how can this be worked around? how can broken domains be… okay?

a gift cannot be chained to a domain, people cannot be chained to a product.

learn eleventy was a gift, moved from learneleventy.com to uncenter’s github pages the former now links to the latter, the gift lives on.

what if instead of owning many domains, we all dedicated ourselves to one? cost-wise, it is feasible. we can thus host homes on our domains for minimal cost, only paying the cost of hosting rather than another domain. when we move, we redirect it
